I could refurbish that Marlin and you wouldn't be able to tell it from a new one. I did one a few months back and I sat it on the table like I was working on it. The guy came in and said that's a nice new one, now where is mine. I just looked at him and smiled. He response was priceless. He could not believe it was his rifle. I take out all the dings in the wood with steam. Completely dissemble it and sand it and re- blue every part. I pulled off some miracles with some of these mountain boy rifles. Some of them look like they have sat on the porch for years. Then I use stock varnish, it's like stain. Then wax the wood. Looks real good.

What did that restoration cost him?

50 bucks. He is a friend. This one I bought in a antique store for 25 bucks. I just bought a Savage semi auto because I though I would never get the parts for it. Wouldn't you know it they came in today. I just put it back together.

Looks like some good work you do, greg, always nice to see well-used tools and machines brought back in to proper order and shine.
Thanks for the offer, Gls, but not currently interested in trades. Downsizing. Will be posting another well-worn piece later today, my k-frame s&w.

Not really looking for trades, but there are some items on my wish list:
A takedown 10/22, Henry Ar-7, or Chiappa Little Badger could be considered
I would also consider a Kimber micro 9, or any mouse guns in 9 or .380
Have also always wanted one of those NAA .22 mini revolvers

Would also accept a small-block ford transmission like a t-18 or np435.. Or a 9" chunk with trak-lock.

Worst I can say is no thanks
