Item Description: I have a powerful and super accurate Mosin Nagant that my dad brought back from Vietnam along with an M1. He never used it, so I bought it from him and had it refinished, gun coated, the bolt turned, and a bushnell red green rectical scop put on it. It has been a Hog slayer, and deer don't like being hit by it none either. I payed 500 for the work and scope, and seen many like this sell for 700 plus, so I know I am on target with the asking price.

Do you have pictures of groups at any distance to help prove the accuracy claim? Glad to see it wasn't tactically converted once Sporterized.

I wouldn't be me if I didn't say it. If I would lie about accuracy, don't you think I would lie about a paper target? Ha ha. All I can say to that is I would be glad to let anyone shoot it. I got a LOT of crap for fixing up a "Nah..not" but people are impressed when they shoot it, other than the kick. I never thought about selling it, so I don't remember the date, and as a matter of fact, I remember there was writing and a star, but don't recall a date. That area, it is now under the scope mount, but I was told it was a Tula Nagant as it has Stars, none have the arrow. The barrel has numbers 289876 bolt is 115279 and has stars on each bolt part, magazine is 12422. There is an 11 at the back once the bolt is removed, and a 1 behind the rear site. The 1 behind the rear site got the gun smiths attention as he says all he sees are 2 normally. May be a reason it shoots accurately, having a better grade barrel. The length is longer than a lot of Nagants I have seen as well, so Probably an older M91.

Yeah, but your perception of a "very accurate mosin" and mine may be completely different.

Could be 1.5 MOA at 100 yards, vs 2.5 MOA. Just wondering what results you got with it and what ammo got those results.

Its a pity you didn't keep it in the original configuration. That'll probably be the biggest deterrent for people buying it, if you can prove it was a genuine bring-back and not one of the millions of Tula imports...

The Date stamp is 1917, even after taking the scop off and putting it back on, it is a 2.7MOA at 300 yards. Like my Iraq trophies, there is not paperwork. I liked shooting the rifle, and so I am going to keep it. Best luck on your future endeavors.
