Item Description: I have a new in box gun is unfired Winchester model 94 XTR CLASSIC 22 mag.. Not one you will come across everyday comes with box and all factory docs, hang tag, and hammer spur box isn't in great shape but it does exist. These rifles were made in 1985-1987

I have one. I thought the XTR came with checkering on the butt stock and forearm? I bought mine on 87, it has the checkering.

I thought the same thing both of mine have checkering also with a shiny finish!! Michael, yours must be some kind of Rare edition I sure do like it.
