Here today we have a truly one of a kind
American Derringer
38 sp
This Derringer was built In1987, and was kept in the American Derringer factory
Lady Derringer had commissioned a Texas Gentleman to hand engrave this for her personal collection.
The artist name was a Mr Harry Clair, and the engraved derringer was completed in 1988.
Sadly Mr Clair passed away in 1993. Having only ever completed one piece of commissioned work for the American Derringer company. In 1998 several pieces were sold off, as the company as it did on a few occasions fell on hard times.
It is a true piece of American Derringer history.
This information was furnished to me by Lady Derringer of American Derringer. I honestly thought when I emailed the company that I would get Zero response, but to my amazement I received a long email with in a couple of hours.
This derringer is fully functional with a slight bit of side to side barrel wobble which again is perfectly within spec , and was confirmed to be normal in the Email.

This is only one of two guns I will be listing on ODT again. The Mother land is calling me home and as I yearn for the quiet countryside of England, I have gladly accepted her offer.
In the coming months there will be extensive Estate sales and Auctions, as I cannot take it all with me.
