Item Description: Sale Pending --- Selling my personal "safe queen" Remington 700 BDL in 30-06 that I have owned for 49 years. The barrel code of OR indicates a July 1968 manufacture. Getting too old to take the recoil anymore. This rifle is in excellent condition. A few handling marks in the wood, with no scratches, dings, or cracks. Bluing is in excellent condition with no rust, pits, scratches or dings. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Very low round count for it's age. Only a few minor use marks and from putting in and taking out of the gun safe. I would rate this gun at 95+%. The white line spacers have turned yellow with age. This gun was made when Remington drilled and tapped the left rear of the receiver for peep sight installation. The bolt is not jeweled. And it has the original metal buttplate. I shot one deer with this rifle in 1969. Otherwise, I take it out of the safe once a year and poke a couple holes in paper targets at 100 yds. That's all it gets used for anymore. The gun is in its original condition minus the 4 small receiver plug screws that I removed when I mounted a scope. I cannot locate those screws. It has the original Remington 3-screw trigger assembly and iron sights. The price listed for this gun is FIRM. I will be listing some other rifles that I will be putting on the market, so keep an eye out for future listings. I live in the north Georgia mountains at the top of the state. Buyer should be prepared to drive up into the mountains to pick this rifle up in the local community. Buyer must be a Georgia resident with a valid state I.D. Gun is for sale locally.
