Use this chart to search the date of manufacture by the serial number of the pistol. Look under MK I on the chart. However, that was commonly called the "standard", the Mk I was the target model. When the gun was re-designed and designated the MK II the original guns all got referred to as MK I.

Any comments about overall condition and functionality?

gun has no rust - but the blueing is worn in some small spots from being in a leather holster over the years - as far as function, its a Ruger!!!
