By his description, I was thinking gunsight scout too. But sure enough, the box says hawkeye. Never seen one like this before. Pretty cool!

The catalog number reads "M77 GS" which means Gunsite. The Hawkeye Matte Blue refers to the finish on the metal. Only the Hawkeye models that have been produced have the matte blue finish, all other prior M77's had the gloss blue finish...........

Is the scope a fixed 10X40 or a variable 3-10X40? Great deal either way, but if the scope is variable power, then it's an AWESOME deal! Let me know if you decide to entertain trade offers.
