It's a Mark 2, with big 'express' sights.... The rear had obviously been removed before I acquired the rifle. Which is just as well. If you wanted the rear sight/ramp, it is readily available from ruger, midway, Brownells, etc.... However, you'd have to remove that dandy Nikon, & order higher ring mounts from Ruger. It has the integrated bases , & requires Ruger rings. Mighty sturdy, too. I just left the front sight alone, never bothered me at all. But I did some research, & they are easily removed.
I've got about 90 rounds of remi core-lokt. The gun has a shell saddle on the buttstock. I'll leave it. The wood on this rifle is dandy for it's age. Classic red recoil pad does nicely, shoots smooth for a 300. Tackdriver.
It's not hurting a thing, I just DONT use it... My 06 does everything I need done, & doesn't hurt my feet...
