They didnt that i know of. Probably a .45long Colt

This is what I found on it I'm not sure if it's true just info I found. If it's not a San Diego Sheriff edition, then it's one of about 115 produced by Ruger. Of those 115 produced, about 25 were produced with barrel warnings printed on bottom of barrel instead of the normal side barrel printed.
These were left over guns from a run that was produced for the San Diego Sheriff's Dept.

Thanks for the info. Was there a designated serial number prefix for those guns? Now I guess we wait for the seller to confirm.Im not a 40 guy but I love old vaqueros.

It did not list serial numbers or prefix. The Ammo in the belt looks to big to be 40cal to me looks more like 45LC or 44mag to me.

I apologize. Must have been a typo. It is in fact a 44
