Item Description: Smith and Wesson model 640 j frame up for sale. This is a 5 shot snub nose I bought off gunbroker about a year ago. It is a police trade in and it is in great shape for one. The lock up is good and timing is right on. Bore is good and clear, with plenty of life left. No box no docs. I do have a cheap leather holster to go with.
I'm going to give this thing a great cleaning before I pass it on. It was fairly clean when I got it, appearing to not have been abused in anyway. A police trade in in 2018, I imagine it was a back up or detective piece or something. I put a box through it just for functions testing and that's about it. Nothing fancy. Just some good ol slow firing to make sure I could hit what I was shooting at.
