Build ??

Look at serial number tag

I would guess it's a 2005 build or maybe 2004, serial number is 079368. I was a Snap On dealer at that time and this has been sitting on the shelf since I left S-O.

I dusted the case off about a week ago, charged both batteries and they are still holding a good charge. Tool of course is brand new but I still tested it and it's perfect. This really is a brand new tool that'll be perfect for someone but since I haven't used it in all this time it needs to go to someone who'll use it.

I know this isn't the latest cordless impact but it's too nice a tool to be wasted sitting on a shelf. I work on everything in my basement with air hoses within a few steps in any direction so I use air impacts, guess I've just got into the habit of grabbing them first. But if you have to drag out air hoses or work on stuff where you don't have easy access to air cordless is less hassle so I know somebody can use this tool. It has 180 ft-lbs of torque, plenty of power for lug nuts on cars and pickups, so if you can put this tool to work make me an offer.

Are replacement batteries still offered? How much do they run?

Yes, Snap On still sells replacement batteries for $180, sounds high but this tool listed for about $550. A better alternative would be to have the batteries rebuilt, there are lots of places that rebuild them for less than $50 on Ebay. I needed a new battery for my Paslode cordless nailer a few months ago and Home Depot wanted $55 but I got one off Ebay for $9 shipped and it works great. Guess there's some markup on batteries.
