Item Description: I am selling my National Postal Meter Carbine from my collection. There were approximately 413,017 total Carbines made by National Postal Meter which was about 6.8% of all M1 Carbines made. This one was an early production with the supplied Underwood barrel dated 7/43 and highly sought after early flip up rear sight and N marked front sight. This was made during the 1st block of carbines made, serial number: 1,450,000 - 1,159,999 | February- September 1943.
The stock is old and has various stampings and doesn't appear to have been cleaned, ever! There is no bayonet lug as used in early WW2. There is a brass pin in it but I see no cracks. The bore is very shiny. I have not taken it apart nor shot it. I purchased it a few years back for my collection and now it is time for it to find a new home so I can finance a new project. I am asking $1600 ORBO
Also will be posting a Nice Remington Rand 1911!
