Item Description: F/S is a Trijicon VCOG 1-6x24 optic. This optic is amazing and the quality is second to none. In true Trijicon fashion, the glass is clear, the reticle is crisp and it's built like a tank. If you have never used a VCOG, it is a little bit different than your traditional optic, at 1x the reticle is small and you can't see the stadia lines; as you increase the zoom, the reticle grows and the stadia lines become visible. It is powered by a single AA battery and has 6 brightness levels. The reticle is a Horseshoe with a 1MOA dot and stadia lines out to 800m. The optic comes with a Quick Release mount from Trijicon and does not require scope rings. Cosmetically this optic is in great shape, it has been painted and the only damage is a minor dent on the focus ring, which can be seen in the pictures. The only other thing to mention is the battery cap. I had to order a replacement battery cap because the original had some corrosion from when a battery was left in it, as a result the battery cap is black. The original battery cap is included as well. The optic comes with Trijicons lifetime warranty. These usually retail for about $2,800-$3,000 with the Quick Release. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks!

Not sure the last time you shopped for these, or if you even looked at current market prices, but you can get these brand new on amazon for $2250, without the spray paint, dents, and blown out battery.
Got to be honest, I don’t usually check Amazon when shopping for good optics. It’s hit or miss as to whether or not you’ll get a genuine article. I usually shop OpticsPlanet or EuroOptics. But I see what you mean and honestly it’s been a while since I shopped for optics. Price has been updated.

Ill add to this. If you check who the order is fulfilled by, you'll see that optics planet does use amazon, but its the same price on both pages. Amazon is good for cheap stuff, but I'd never order high end optic and expect to receive the real thing. They can get away with it because most folks wouldn't know a genuine from a fake. You must handle a few to gain that knowledge.

Another good source for Optics is B&H Photo.
