Just curious, but do you know what company made that black polymer furniture (particularly, the stock) ? Thanks !
I can tell you right away its century junk plastic. They like to put on their gp 1975 ak's. M74 sporters all came with that plastic furniture from century. Front hand guards will melt guarantee, there is no heat shield in them, and plastic is insanely cheap.

Yeah, I've run across the cheap, un-shielded HG's before, but I believe I just have the same buttstock, and it's as rock solid as any Kvar I've owned. This one, and mine, have that peculiar curved belly that's very distinctive, and noticeably different than the straighter lines of other makes like the Kvars,Tapcos, etc. I needed a replacement black poly stock, and I got it really cheap from a guy on the AK Files, and was just curious what it was. I had a tough time finding the exact one on line, but I'm thinking you're right about it being a OEM Century piece. Anyway, no biggie, regardless, I was just curious. Thanks for the info, and apologies to the OP for the de-rail !! :becky:

(and BTW, it's killing me that something I'd be interested in, and at a decent price, finally pops up in my neck of the woods, and I don't have the spare change for it !!! :mmph:)

The date on the receiver is 1988. The stock and forearm are made of plastic, but I do not know who made them . I bought it used about five to six years ago. I do not have the original stock. The sights do not appear to be canted.
