No this is not an auction in an auction you take cash offers there is no where in my posts or in my threads that says that, that is what I am doing. Being that this is my dad's gun and Fri is a whole 5 days away it might just give me enough time to sit and think and have a change of heart. It hurts me just as much to sit here and look at it as it does to see it go. I really want someone to enjoy this rifle I mean I haven't even shot it in God only knows how long. It stays in a safe out of sight buried along with all of his other memories. So if you could please have more understanding of the value of this gun to me and what I am trying to do and my reasoning behind it that would be great... I mean I have had a vast amount of people telling me not to get rid of it but on the other hand I have had some really great offers as well. I can back out of this if I want to unlike an auction.

Keep the rifle. You'll kick yourself in the end. There is NOTHING offered here than can replace the Marlin 336RC 35 Rem that sits peacefully in my gun safe.

It belonged to my cousin Steve who loved it. Steve was murdered the summer of 1973 and it sat silent until my 9th birthday when my uncle gave it to me. I carried it my first trip into the woods, killed my first deer, first hog, and have memories of friends and family on those trips that the 'ol Marlin carries too. My first hunting trip with my son he carried his Ruger 44 Carbine... But insisted once in the stand to hold that dear old Marlin.

If you are struggling with trading it. Do not do it. Even as I hold back tears thinking of the memories mine holds, you'll hate yourself when yours are gone.

Just the thought of someone who dreams of replacing the S&W Mod 28 that held the same as my Marlin... But got traded foolishly.
