sounds like you're a northern hunter. I got 1 but from my dead cold fingers. got a lot of deer with mine. my son , USMC, said Dad you missed the center. I then fired 5 more and made a smiley face. He didn't laugh. It's a great rifle good luck on finding 1.

Lol dead on. From New York. Took a few nice bear and 225+ lb bucks with my dads ol’ 30-06. He passed away a couple years ago and he passed in my apartment in New York so NYPD seizes all our hunting rifles and shotguns and said in NYC even though I’m his son and all the guns were legal i couldn’t get the guns since there was no will. Everything got destroyed. The first gun he got me, the gun we bagged our first deer with together. It hurt.
