Item Name: FS/FT Norinco 1911 Hard Chrome
Location: Warner Robins
Zip Code: 31088
Item is for: Sale or Trade
Sale Price: $750
Trade Value or Items Looking For: Something a little unique, as this one is. Top of the list would be an upgraded CZ P07.
Caliber: .45 ACP
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: You may have heard of the Norinco "Model of the 1911A1," which internet legend says was made of super hardened steel reforged from railroad tracks. I don't know about that, but you do get some good materials, such as real spring steel used for the extractor and no MIM parts.
I acquired this pistol in 2003. At the time, it bore a factory (I believe) nickel finish. Unfortunately, that finish was flaking in parts, so I had to do something about it. I ended up sending the gun to Tripp Research to be hard chromed. Some of you may know that Virgil Tripp was one of the best in the business for hard chrome before he stopped doing it. This is probably the only Norinco 1911 hard chromed by him that you'll find for sale.
The slide flats have a brushed finish and the rest is matte. All original springs were replaced with Wolff springs and the sights have been blackened.
The original mainspring housing was an arched one. I replaced it with a flat one (Smith & Alexander). Both were hard chromed and will be included.
The original crappy wraparound grip will be included. Currently, the gun is wearing some Hogue rubber grips.
The original Norinco mag is gone, but I'll include a replacement. Don't have/never had the original box.
Serial number is whited out in the pic.
