Item Description: Ok guys here it is. Ruger skeleton stock ultra lite in 7mm-08. This rifle was bought by a guy new and hunted with 2 times and has sat in a safe . The last 2 in this caliber and condition went for $4700 and $6200 on gun broker. Not saying I’m asking that but this isn’t a cheap rifle. These are extremely hard to find and most every skeleton stock collect is looking for this rifle.

There are definitely local people willing to pay the price. But it’s not for sale. Trade only for a square body or obs truck or multiple rifle trade. I’ve had multiple good cash offers since I posted it but I don’t neee cash I’m just looking trade offers.

I like where your heads at, OP.
Been a fun (short) thread to read.

Twins! Several years back people would debate if the 7mm-08 existed, now 2 on same post and both ultra light. Love mine. I know I would regret it if I were to ever let it go

I thought the ultra lite guns had 16"-18" barrels

The Ruger m77's went crazy in late 1990's when folks started stock swapping to make the guns they couldn't find
Unless it's in Ruger white box and says synthetic/SS , that kinda money is a bold move .

I have a wood
257 Roberta ultralight
250-3000 ultralight
275 Rigby ultralight
Red pad dog leg guns

Or u can call ruger and give them the serial number. They will tell u the yr it left the factory, caliber, metal, if it is ultralight and the stock it left the factory in

Compact had 16 1/2 half inch barrel
Ultralight had 18 1/2 inch and 20 inch
All of the 18 1/2 inch I have seen had iron sights
