Definitely a scar. You can tell by the pistol grip location relative to the receiver and the safety. Or you could just read it off the side of the weapon.

I promise ... it's a scar. You can tell the bushmaster a mile a way because it's 97% plastic. ... hand guards, etc ... molded in non-replaceable grip ... the only part of the scar that's plastic is the magwell/grip area and the buttstock. And they are fundamentally different shapes!
