As for mom, she traded that PT in for a brand new Honda Accord in 2015. She's never been happier.

I know about those old Volvos. I searched for one of those, but they are hard to come by. I also looked at old BMW, but wow, do those things hold their value!

It's funny that you mentioned a PT Cruiser. My poor mom bought one of those things, brand new. That thing didn't make it 50K miles before all sorts of trouble.

One of my oldest friends bought a 95 3 series ragtop mainly because he used to drink at the same bar with a used car lot owner. He paid $6K for it in 2009 with me hollering at him not to. Well then the outer door handle broke on the driver's side. Common but expensive BMW issue. I sold it for him in 2011 and it was all I could do to get $2200.00 for it. I'm not a fan of BMW or most other Euro brands. I just like the old brick Volvos 240s/740s because they were more like driving an American car and could be had in base model configuration with manual windows and locks. Oh and they were rear wheel drive.
Now if you want i can tell you a story about a damn Land Rover Discovery me and my old bidness partner have been sitting on for about 3 years now.

it's running now with most of the damn Limey bugs worked out. But let me just say this about a Rover. If you ask 10 mechanics if they will work on a Rover for you at least 9 of them will answer with "Hell no! Don't bring that damn thing over here!"

That's putting it mildly. But on the other hand when you find a guy that drives one he's usually had more than one and loves them. I can't figure that one out. But then again some guys like to be tied up,gagged peed on,whipped and whatnot.

I will be listing my tastefully modified 2005 Honda Civic LX Special Edition on Craigslist in the next few days. I have owned it since it was new and maintenence has been kept up. Fun car with great gas mileage. Has about 155k miles on it and runs great. Would take $2500 for it which is a bit over your listed budget, however it is a fair price for the condition it is in.

Price includes everything in the pictures as well as the original 15 spoke wheels that only came on the Special Editions with decent tires, the original door mirrors, and original gas door (one installed is carbon fiber). Let me know if you are interested.

Wow, that is nice. We actually found a 1996 Toyota Corolla with 170K miles for $1500. I got pretty lucky (except the car is old, and shows it). Your car should get snapped up quickly for $2500. It looks nice, and those Hondas go forever.
