It sounds like you are speaking of "field" barrels, not trap barrels. A trap barrel will fit on a field receiver, so they are not "matched" to a receiver.
I'm sorry....I have NO idea what is a "trap" barrel.....photo's please
I did not shoot trap with "field" barrels on my 1100's
Here's an empty receiver marked "trap"....this one has been around since 1966....I'm not confusing anything
please, I've shot enough trap to understand what it is that I am shooting....
the poor OP was just asking a question about barrel length....

did some research....apparently there is a "knock down pin" on some barrels....I have no understanding of these, so, I assume it's a fairly new addition....reguardless.....it remains a choke and barrel length thing.....the knock down pin....I suppose, this could also be used as a skeet barrel, so, I do not know that it is only for trap....also, could be used in the "field" as well....so, it's just another barrel for an 1100.

Have a 1100 receiver that I'm trying to assemble, 12ga, would anyone on here consider selling any parts and I am a bird hunter so looking for a 26 or 28 in barrel, thanks.
