Item Name: Taurus 605 snub-- blued/ported/hammerless SOLD PENDING MEET!
Location: Macon/Forsyth area
Willing to Ship: No
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $225
Caliber: .38/.357
Item Description: Taurus 605 snub. Blued. Factory ported barrel.
Perfect for a truck gun/woods piece/back up beater. Forbearance of reptiles. Snakes & such :-)
Picked this up from the original owner in a trade about 12-13 years ago. Put maybe 300-400 rounds through over the years. Never a hiccup. My Dad wanted a backup for his office desk about 10 years ago, so I gave it to him, & it's mostly been sitting in his drawer since.
Not a safe queen though. Has a bit of wear on the bluing, a few small scratches, & a couple places with VERY light pitting (all there when I got it). Nothing major, unless you care about the little cosmetic details. Lockup is tight. Timing is tight. But again-- not a safe queen.
Only mechanical issue-- at some point, the cylinder release thumb latch came off. It was on when I gave it to my Pop, but ain't there now, & wasn't in the desk drawer, so I dunno where it is. He shot in our woods occasionally to stay in practice, so I bet it's somewhere out there. Cylinder still opens fine. Run your thumb forward on the screw retainer, & it releases every time. So you can leave as is, or throw a new latch on it.
Comes with set of small Pachmayr grips, a set of wood Taurus grips, & the rubber Taurus grips that are on it now (which are the least concealable of the 3, but really comfortable to shoot, even with .357). Also comes with a speed loader. I have an Uncle Mike's holster for it somewhere, but couldn't find it tonight for the pics. I'll look around more for it.
Not looking for any trades at this point. Found everything I've been chasing lately (thanks ODT!). Would consider something really interesting if it's WAY in my favor, but mainly just wanna sell this one.
$225.00 or I'll just keep it for a beater.
