Item Name: Savage 99F .308 Lever Rifle

Location: Ball Ground/East Cobb

Zip Code: 30107

Item is for: Trade Only

Trade Value or Items Looking For: Ruger no.1 or bolt actions in Remington 700 or Savage wood stock models but will look at others.

Caliber: .308 win

Willing To Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required: No

Item Description:
Looking to trade my Savage 99F chambered in .308 win. This gun is coded with an "I" on the lever boss which dates it being manufactured in 1957. The serial is a pre 1 million 921XXX. The gun is in nice condition for being produced in 1957 and being in the woods for the time that I have had it. There was a chip behind the tang and also the common crack that has been prevalent for this model before I acquired it. It is a great shooting lever rifle with the brass rotary magazine, round counter and also a lever safety not the tang like later models. This is a fun lever action to hunt with and it has performed flawlessly. It has a classic Redfield 2X-7X wide field scope with the duplex reticle on over/under rings that have come in very handy for short range shots. I am looking for one of the bolt action rifles or Ruger No.1 in one of the following: .243, 6mm rem, .270 win, .270wsm, .308 win, .300win mag, or 7mm rem mag. If I trade out of .308 then I will include the hunting ammo that I have. *I am not looking for a bolt .30-06 because I have a Savage 111 and I am happy with it but I will entertain the .30-06 Ruger No.1. Not looking to sell at this time, and I am not opposed to keeping it either if the right trade doesn't come along. Thanks for looking!

I have a 99H, I think that is it. It is a takedown model in 22 High Power. It's a cool little gun. The 308 in that gun has to be awesome! They are quick handling and reliable rifles. Good luck.
