Exactly, whatever is comfortable. I have told this to family members when we shoot .22 at the range and they thumb their nose because it is not the biggest and baddest caliber being shot by John Wick. I tell them people wince when someone sticks a bb gun in their face. Why would a .22 or .380. or .32 be any less threatening, if that is what people are comfortable shooting?

If someone can rock a shotgun- 12ga., a .44, or a 10mm, in their house accurately, rock on! If a .22 is their comfort zone and they can shoot a tight group 5 yards away, rock on as well!
