Item Name: Why .380??

Location: Marietta

Item is for: Sale/Trade NOT SPECIFIED

Willing to Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required?: No

Item Description: I bought a Sig 238 once, sold it here on ODT and bought a Sig 938 instead. 9mm is cheaper and more powerful, so with so many tiny 9mm pocket guns out there, why buy a .380?
Your thoughts?

9mm in a tiny gun is no walk in the park to shoot. Lots of muzzle flash, muzzle recoil, short sight radius.

Same goes for .22 -- 10 hits count a lot more than 8 misses with an "adequate" caliber.

Funny how things go round -- back in the day, the "thutty two" was the preferred caliber of choice among the sporting elements of local society. Countless number of crap games and marriages were ultimately resolved with this now inadequate caliber I guess "back in the day" people just rolled over and died with more grace.

9mm in a Shield is not bad at all, and has roughly twice the energy of the "9mm Short"

liberty civil defence. i get 1900fps out'a my 45 and over 2000 in 380 with some purdy nasty penetration. i carry a 9mm most of the time now , for the first time in 25 yrs. i couldn't resist 21rd capacity
