They do. Oglethorpe County Shotgun was sponsored down there for a while. I’m sure Elbert and others do too.Should I simply inquire at Elberton gun range-club whether they host 4-H and maybe steer me in the right direction ?
1973 wow! I was a senior at TOWERS HIGH!Any of you guys shoot rifle in 4-H back in the day, do they still allow the kids to fire rifles?
Mom sent me this article she clipped from the newspaper, says I'd just earned my Marksman 1st Class badge shooting 22LR in 4-H back around 1973![]()

I see your from Statesboro. My granddaughter will start school at Ga Southern this fall.Project SAFE is still super active all round the state. I've had numerous friend and family that competed but I never did personally. I still volunteer for 4-H regularly. It is one of the last youth organizations that hasn't totally derailed.
That's fantastic, I am currently going to school at Georgia Southern as well. The rifle team here qualified for NCAA finals (or something of the likes) just a week or so ago. The competition shooting teams here are evidently pretty good from what I have heard.I see your from Statesboro. My granddaughter will start school at Ga Southern this fall.
Her high school team won the National Championship at Camp Perry this past summer. She plans on shooting 22 rifle at Ga Southern. Trying for a scholarship.
I still have a pair in my closet.I just noticed that I'm wearing bell-bottom jeans in my OP![]()
