Nice looking rifle at a very good price!!!

Could you give a little more info?

It looks like a later WW2 style Lithgow nose cap, also, the nose cap seems to be missing a screw.

The later nose cap would jive with the later bolt. Does the rifle have any rearsenal markings?

What's the barrel date?

I've got way too many of these things and wasn't planning on acquiring any more anytime soon, but yours looks interesting...

P.S. No argument from me...

I will have to pull it out of the safe and see if it's missing a screw. I got these both in trades and love military surplus but not really into the British stuff. Also there are markings all over the receiver.

It is Missing that screw and what else am I looking for?

If you look under the upper rear hand guard, you'll find the barrel year stamped on the left side. Also, if it has gone through a rearsenal process, there should be stamps somewhere in that general vicinity as well.
