Manufactured in 1939, this 4 inch barrel Military & Police .38 Revolver was carried by special agent Melvin J. Clark who was killed during a moonshine raid in North Georgia June 1, 1947. Clark was the former Hall County sheriff who became a federal agent in 1944 to continue his many years of law enforcement service.
