1989 Pajero, Imported from Japan
'Everything works, except, the passenger window switch on the driver’s side control panel. The switch on the passenger’s door does work.
This Mitsubishi Pajero is the perfect vehicle for any 4X4 or diesel enthusiast. Although sold in the U.S. as the Montero, they were never offered with a turbo diesel engine. This particular one is equipped with the 2.5L 4D56T Turbodiesel I4. Despite being more than capable off-road, this one was well taken care of and saw mostly road use. The exterior is in drive ready condition and has original paint. The chrome bumpers and trim are still in extraordinary shape and do not need refinishing. The body and frame show no signs of rust. The Pajero was looked after exceptionally well through it's 80k miles during its years in Japan.
The interior quality matches that of the exterior. The seats are in good shape with no rips, tears, or stains. The dash is crack free and shows no sign of fading. The carpet does have some small staining near the second row seats, but otherwise is in good shape. A clinometer is a neat feature that was standard on the Pajero and this one still functions correctly. Another neat feature was the suspension seats, which are adjustable, and allow for a comfortable ride on any terrain. The third row seats can be folded up to the sides for increased cargo room or combined with the second row seats to form a bed. Although the interior is mostly stock, a twin subwoofer was added by the previous owner.
Mechanically the vehicle is sound - It starts right away and runs without issue. Getting up to and driving at highway speeds is not an issue. Shifts through the manual are smooth and the 4WD functions properly. The coil-link suspension feels comfortable driving around town, but plenty capable for off-road use. Overall this Pajero is a great 4X4 with classic styling and is in amazing condition. 91,000 miles / 140,309 KM Call, text or message for more information.
