Got this stuff in a buy out a few years back no nothing about it other then I think there reloads and they look the same I have 116 casings and 77 live rounds

The original case was 7.62x39. The cases you have, have been modified into a different caliber. This is a normal practice for bench rest shooters always seeking the smallest group possible. It appears they have been shortened and the shoulder angle has been changed. I would think the case necks have been resized to a smaller caliber than 7.62.

Yeah you can neck up to 6ppc from 220 Russian which is most common. You can also use a die and form the shoulder/neck from 7.62x39 brass to make the ppc. If you look in the pictures you’ll see some stamped 220 Russian as well. I shoot a 6ppc and have seen this with the x39 brass before back when lapua was short on 220 Russian brass.
