Testudo - a true game changer in the world of plate carriers. New 3D mesh technology lines the body facing side of each primary plate pocket. Improved ergonomics and comfort with increased airflow and cooling. Engineered with load bearing in mind, our 3D mesh is less prone to collapsing maintaining the benefits.
The Testudo plate carrier platform accepts both standard 10” x 12” and extra-large 11” x 14” body armor, in our patented Advanced Shooters Cut, and other traditional cuts. We’ve managed to minimize excess material to reduce weight and maintain a comfortable and fitting profile while maximizing webbed real-estate for modular pouches. Rugged Velcro lines each section of webbing for an endless configuration of modular MOLLE and Velcro pouches and ID Panels/Patches. Specifically placed webbing allows Chest Rig and Swift Clip compatibility for further customization.
A built-in properly sized Velcro lined kangaroo pouch allows you to fit, completely, three M4/AR15 5.56 magazines with appropriate M4 magazine insert – or for use as an admin pouch. The removable cummerbund is fully adjustable and features a built-in side armor pocket compatible with both 6” x 6”, and 6” x 8” side plates (with interior pull tabs extended).
Internal plate retention straps allow you to adjust ride height and appropriately position your body armor and trauma pads for vital coverage. Generously padded shoulder pads include webbed guides for further attachment such as Tourniquets, Coms, and Hydration tubes. Fully adjustable shoulder straps are a one size fits most affair, up to a 56” chest. The rear drag handle runs through the entire upper rear half of the plate pocket for additional strength.
Constructed from the highest quality materials we’ve utilized 500 Denier Cordura Nylon, Genuine ITW Buckles, 92 Type Bonded Thread, Reinforced Bartac, double, and double backed stitching throughout.
