Ok. Thanks for being so cool about it. If this was just going to be a home defense gun I wouldn't worry about it but since it will be my EDC I'll need to have it registered.
I'll try to find a good halfway point. If there's nothing good halfway would Academy Sports and Outdoors in Douglasville be too far? It's just a few minutes past Six Flags.

Not trying to dump on the thread but there is no gun registration in GA.
You can do a 4473 transfer at an FFL but that's technically not 'registering' the gun.

Well noted and a good process. I use the term generically due to its definition as shown below.
Register definition - "enter or record on an official list or directory"

Thanks Radar363 for that input. All I'm wanting to do is get the gun in my name so if I ever did have to use it for self defense and the police pull up the registration it will pull up my info and not some random guy from far away. Thanks

No it has not. I've tried trading with one or two others and no one has done anything yet. I'm trying like crazy man. I'm reaching out to everyone I can think of too. Nobody wants a .40!
Are you sure you don't want to trade? I can throw in a Nintendo DS with a two games

9mm's seem to have gained some popularity over the past year. I have seen the price of 40S&W ammo get about as competitively priced as 9mm lately. Both have similar velocity and drop, with 40S&W having more ft.lbs. of power/energy. 40sw gives one a better chance of getting the job done in one shot, IMHO.
