Item Description: This is a very nice Belgium made Browning A-5, it has modified plain 28 in barrel. Good bluing and wood, I shot it this dove season and it is fine, no problems and a very nice collectable shotgun, The price is firm and will not respond to lower offers. They are asking $1,000 on the site now.

This is a very nice Browning A-5 and I have 2 myself that I used when I lived in South Dakota for deer hunting as that is all that is allowed out there and the A-5 is called the deer slayer out west. Do you know what year your A-5 is ?

sr. no is 791xx five digets

Mine have 6 digits and you take the 3rd # and the 5th # and reverse them to get the year made but with only 5 digits on yours I think you would use the 3rd number and the last number and reverse them to get the year made.

No I tried to fire 1 one time and it did shoot but it would not eject the spent round so I would say no on the 3 inch round .
