Item Description: Never fired and in perfect condition. Comes with 2 barrels, one 24 inch and ported and one 26 inch. Also comes with beretta carrying case. Beautiful gun in excellent condition.

Yes, it has the speed load. The lever is a magazine locking feature that keeps new shells from exiting the mag into the chamber. For example, this could allow a waterfowl hunter to eject a #6 load and insert a bb load quickly if they were hunting ducks and saw a goose coming in.

Answer to your question is yes,when empty you can load from bottom and it will feed to the chamber.
