I thought these were budget guns from Walmart
Charles Daly has contracted with multiple manufactures over the years and the Charles Daly name has changed ownership multiple times. The current Charles Daly lineup is manufactured in Turkey and are in the budget category.
However, from 1963 to 1972 the over/under were manufactured for Charles daly by Miroku, in Japan. Miroku has been manufacturing over/under shotguns for Browning since the early 1970s. Although the internal design is different, the Charles Daly over/under of this time are said to be of similar quality to the early Browning Citori.
The 12ga and 20 ga models are not considered collectable; however, the 28 and 410 models are gaining popularity with collectors.
Based on the engraving and the style of the stock, this is a Field grade or a Venture grade.

There was a Superior grade 410 skeet with the round knob in a recent completed auction.
