This was professionally refinished in the 1980s
It belonged to my neighbor down in Fort Walton Beach. He purchased this before he left to fly during the Vietnam war. Kept it with him the whole time. He flew with my Father in Law during this time. He had it refinished in 1982 and I bought it from him in 2009.
I am completely downsizing and will be selling multiple collectible items over the coming months.
Decided to move back to England, and run the village pub where I grew up. Kids are now grown and left the nest. Yearning for a quieter life, So most of the stuff I have collected over the years will be going up for auction soon and an estate sale.
This piece, I want to go to someone on ODT who will continue to look after it. This is an amazing piece of history and one of my favorite items I own, but sadly I can’t take it with me and my kids who are staying in the US have no interest in most of the items I have collected over the Years.
This is probably going to be my last posting, I have truly met many wonderful people on ODT, but all good things must come to an end as a new chapter starts, and I feel
I have left the bets till last.
It is in amazing condition and a true piece of history.
And yes it functions flawlessly.
I’m asking $500 which is exactly what I payed for it. It is way undervalued, so someone is getting a nice collector piece for sure.
If it doesn’t sell at that price, it will just go into the estate sale.
Please do not ask me what items I will be selling, too many to mention. I will not answer these questions at this time.
