Item Description: Found a 'Wanted' for a 'U.S. Government Property' Colt .45 and responded to that thread but wanted to paste here also. I'm not a trader. I hadn't considered selling it as I have only sold one gun in my long and sorry life; a Wather PP with Nazi stamps. Got $55 for it.

This is a real DCM Colt 1911A1 straight out of 1944 WW II. Think I paid $5 for it in the early 60's. Rattle free and tight bushing. Don't shoot it as I have a couple excellent 45's. I would call the bore very good as it shows some wear but is certainly not shot out. Trigger, sights and barrel bushing have been replaced but I may have the originals somewhere. Pachmayr grips plus custom made walnut ones. Again, I may have the original plastic ones. It is stamped U.S Government Property.

Interested in what it is worth. Surprise me and I will sell it.

Also have an original military holster for it. I cannot remember if it came with the pistol or acquired about the same time.

does it have "RIA" stamped on it somewhere? This looks IDENTICAL to a Rock Island Arsenal assembled one that I own... They used those pachmayr grips for sale to the public... Very cool. GLWS.

Found the original Colt trigger, barrel bushing and barrel link. Suspect that I am not going to find the original plastic grips and sights.

I will give you one hundred times what you paid for it. (If you paid the $5.00 amount you mentioned above). I think any more than that would make you guilty.:)
