Here are a couple of more pics of the marks on the pistol, and a pic of the recoil plate. Trying to let folks see the condition as much as my weak photo taking skills and 1st generation digital camera will allow....

It looks like someone put one of those old clamp on scope mounts on it, but since it came to me this way, I really have no idea how the marks got there.

Shooting for full disclosure here as I realize this is alot of money, people collect these, and I just want to be up front so I don't waste anyone's time.

Yep.. I see this occasionally. Some members use SPM as "sent private message'. Gets confusing. I use "sent PM" Thanks.

Thanks for clarifying this for me. I did use it for "sent private message" Still learning here! Sorry for the confusion and good luck with sale.
