Uncle built a circle track car but died before getting his chance. Complete with 5:18 gears and ready to bolt up. Also have the 40 over motor he was going to use.

Lol. Right. It's equivalent to a 14 boltYeowww !
A 5:18 to 1 gear will make for a peppy rear end for dang sure !! lol.

I have basically the same setup in the garage. I think circle track you can't go above +.040 over with iron heads.Yep, I gotta 350 chebby built on the stand waiting to put in something….i built it a few years back before I just about gave out (physically) but have turned it every few months. But it has the best of everything in it. The 4 bolt mains, bored +.040, forged flat tops by TRW, crane cam, chunker crank, the heads are 2.02 with all the roller goodies…and I polished it after I matched the intake ports….all that good stuff !!
I got a buddy that calls about every week and shoots the bull with me…he never fails to try to buy it ! lol.
I have a couple of things I could use….an 86 and a 92 Silverado….but I’ve done the truck hot rod run and while they are badass and you can put drag bars and links on em I hate the light rear ends .
I never done much track racing except amateur runs at Dallas dragstrip….most everything I did was street running on the weekends . Mostly out in the boonies but some around town. It gets a little extra blood pumping when you gotta lookout for the cops too while you are trying to run your competitor in the other lane !! 😝I have basically the same setup in the garage. I think circle track you can't go above +.040 over with iron heads.
LolThen you gotta chase him down and get your $20/$50 bill when you beat him !! Lol
How much on that motor ? I have a 97 Silverado and looking to put a motor in itUncle built a circle track car but died before getting his chance. Complete with 5:18 gears and ready to bolt up. Also have the 40 over motor he was going to use.
Not for the street. It had a 4 speed transmission behind it and had to shave 1st and 2nd gear just to drive it. Probably need a 5500 stall just to drive it.made to run 7500 rpms constantlyHow much on that motor ? I have a 97 Silverado and looking to put a motor in it
