Item Description: As a Master Gunsmith for 48 years I have built numerous custom guns, this one in 1992. All work was completed by me and test fired only so is still mint. Based on a commercial Mauser action with a Shaw 22" barrel with 1 in 9 1/2 twist. Custom bolt handle,stop,safety etc. Stocked in Extra Fancy French walnut with Gaboon Ebony forend tip, grip cap and reinforcing pin plugs. Hand checkered in a flawless point pattern, finished with a perfect filled hand rubbed oil. Tastefully engraved floorplate , stop etc. Comes with a cheap 6x42mm scope sitting in Leupold high rings and engraved bases that has been bore sighted only. The pictures do not do justice to this impeccable rifle. The .280 caliber is considered superior to the .270 and .30-06 loading.
