If they have been suppressed it’s a negative? Serious question.
Not always. But most of the time yes.
People throw cans on there and don’t tune the gas system. It ends up creating higher backpressure and causing a higher velocity on the BCG. That in turn beats up the cam pin and cam pin path and can irreparably damage the BCG.

Lol I'm just going off what fnh told me when I had my scars , if they have a setting for suppressed I dont see the problem unless the user doesnt adjust the gas, fnh told be shooting suppressed would void warrenty which made no sense either.
I’ve heard that on forums that’s what they claim (no suppressor setting, it’s for “adverse conditions” but I have (the photo i posted) documentation from them that comes with the barrels that states otherwise.

I love them, and I use them a lot.

For anyone looking at this ad don’t be scared of a scar, and OP you get all the free bumps tonight.

I shoot mine with SilencerCo Omega .30 and you can feel it slam to the rear. No damage to BCG as of yet. But I rarely shoot the gun. If going to shoot suppressed I'd go OSS Helix 7.62 or PMM 1.35 gas jet.

That is false. There IS a suppressor setting at 10 o’clock.

That suppressor setting is spec'd for a specific SF can that is relatively low back pressure meaning high back pressure cans will cause issues with carrier speed.

Overall the scar does require tuning to suppress and just clean the **** out of it/return it to stock before you send it in for warranty work
