I had an 18 year old try to buy a handgun from me. Claimed you only have to be 18 to buy from a store however there was no law on sale to someone 18+. I called the WRPD and spoke to an officer, Sargent Stevens. He confirmed to me that it was indeed legal for a 18 year old to purchase and own a handgun if purchased from a private party and that it was legal for a private party to sell to an 18 year old. They cannot purchase a handgun from a business. The law is screwy, but that's it. They cannot carry them on their person, only in their vehicle, home, or may carry on them when on their property.

I understand the Law. However this is a for sale listing not a legal thread. Looks like you guys are new. their is a discussion forum you can utilize.

I choose not to sell a pistol to anyone under the age of 21. Not because it is illegal. Simply because it is a personal preference. This is a grey area. I prefer to not deal with that.
