No B.S. off road XJ toy, it isn't pretty, it isn't prestigious, it just gets the job done. If you want something that will go place you never dreamed you could go, this is for you. Never crazy abused, just used. No huge slamming into hills, jumping off of them, spinning the tires to try to break axles or anything else like stupid YouTube type click bait crap. However there are a few YouTube videos you can watch below because we are not test driving in my back yard like when I first got it and I'm still fixing the yard. We can drive it up & down my side yard that is just dirt and hasn't been seeded yet.

It has a clear title in my name. It is currently non-op since I don't drive it on the road. IT WILL REQUIRE A TRAILER to get it home. I have a trailer & for a price could be convinced to deliver it if it isn't hours away. I might be willing to sell the trailer with it, maybe. I have quite a bit of documentation on upgrades and stuff done to it that I can give electronically or print out depending on how you roll.

The basics in no specific order:
  • Rusty’s Diff cover
  • Rusty’s gas tank skid plate
  • Rusty’s 4.5 Lift kit
  • Rear Axle done by Wilson Performance Dayton, TN 37321 (trussed & disk brake conversion w/OX locker 4.56 gearing)
  • Lock Right Locker (dana30 / 44) & 4.56 gears
  • Front & Rear Tom Wood’s drive shafts
  • Transfer case drop kit
  • Rusty’s Tie Rod steering system (rods)
  • Rusty’s front bumper
  • Rusty’s rear bumper
  • Rusty’s rock sliders
  • Rebuilt Auto Tranny (about 10K miles on it total)
  • 4.0 Engine sitting with about 100K miles on it
  • 5 to 8 lug adapters (so I can swap tires between my 3/4 ton like my Ag tires)
  • Azzy's Design Works Transfer Case Linkage kit
  • Upgraded brakes to 2000 WJ parts: Power Booster 54-73163, Master Cylinder NM3082, and other parts needed for the conversion: NAPA Part #: BK 6413315, Part #: BK 6415026, Part #: BK 8131156, Part #: BK 8131154
  • EBC brake pads (front) super grip off road (totally worth the price!)
  • Upgraded (2pc to 1pc axle) USA Standard Gear inner right seal Part# USA30084
  • Upgraded closed system radiator to newer open system with overflow tank
  • I've run 35x12.5x15 on Jeep wheels & I've run 9.5x16 Ag tires (again totally worth it), currently sitting on 33x12.5x16.5
  • AND other stuff
To build this as is would cost over $8,000 in parts probably quite a bit more after all the recent inflation, plus a donor XJ.

Total Honest Disclosure Includes: The windows only kind of go up & down, that's why they are left down (and usually the top is just tarped when not in use) There is a hole in the back area that I cut out to put the fuel pump in (that might be closed up soon) Sometimes it take a little bit to crank, I think there is still some adjustment needed from the MAP sensor replacement. (have notes on it but hasn't stopped anything from running or driving) I have $1847.45 in maintenance, new parts, and little upgrades in the last few years even if it doesn't look like it. Have paper & electronic records and notes that go with it.

Video(s) / Links to YouTube
1990 Jeep XJ as is 03/19/2024 (Video walk around and start up)
5313 Off Road Park Calhoun - XJ going up a significant hill (my second favorite hill, unfortunately the best hill ever none of us thought to video)
This is how you destroy the backyard and sleep on the couch (But it was so convenient to test in the backyard, my neighbors must hate me)
5313 Off Road Park - XJ Water hazard (This is how you spend a lot of extra money on fluids, but it was time to change them anyway)

BYOT - Price if you bring your own 5 bolt tires and wheels: $3200
Price as it sits: $3500
Price with R1 Ag tires on it: $4100
Price of my car trailer if you want it: $2000
Minus any trade fodder, you know how to do math. Message with any questions, if they are stupid questions or are already answered I reserve the right to be blunt and to the point. I obviously don't have to sell this, but if you want to make my wife happy then you'll buy this and get all the benefits of possibly having too much fun.
