Item Description: Just milling this and thought I'd throw out a feeler to see if there is any interest. I have a spare Atlas metal lathe, 10 inch capacity by I think 36 inch bed, may be longer though....I'm working off memory here. I've had it for several years. Bought it at an estate sale from a machinist. I was in process of refurbing it when I happened across another Atlas lathe with a quick change gear box that I ended up making my main lathe.

The original Atlas is just now in the way. It's partially disassembled where I had removed some of the parts, particularly the saddle, to sandblast and repaint. It's got an acorn style tool holder, I think a 3 for steady rest for longer pieces. I think the through hole on the spindle is 3/4 inch. It's got an older reversing switch mounted by the original owner which reverses the motor as well as the geared reversal switch on the head.

No change gears as the gear set was lost by the movers during shipment to Georgia but original change gear sets are readily available on eBay for $150ish, or if you want to go new school I can 3d print you whatever change gears you are interested in.

With the current parts I'd put it at about $500 value. Cash or trade, wide open and can add cash for interesting deals. Lead screw is straight and I've changed the half nut as it was stripped. It's bolted to a heavy wooden stand which comes with. It's HEAVY, be warned but I guess for machine equipment that's a good thing that she's got some gravity in her!

Will post pictures when I get back home to Athens.

****This pic is NOT the actual lathe, this is the same model though*****
