Item Relisted! FS/FT Beautiful S&W 629-1 6" 44 Magnum

Nope. Awesome gun!

Now the question is was it in the recall and, if so, was it sent back. If it was recalled, and not checked by S&W, don’t send it back! They’re out of parts and it’s unlikely that you’ll get it back! I’ve heard you get a new version. If you had the box, it would have a red “C” sticker if they had checked it.

Yep. That timeframe sounds right.

In the 80’s, they had to recall around 20k guns looking for 500. A metal supplier for the cylinders sent a bad batch. Part of the serial numbers included N910000 through N953000 so it looks like your gun is in it. You used to be able to email your serial number to qa@smith-wesson.com or call 1-800-331-0852.

If it was returned to them, they’d either X-ray or magnaflux the cylinder. If it fails, I’ve heard they don’t have any replacements so they don’t send yours back and you get a new model gun.
