Item Description: Not seen too often. Bren Mk III gun. Rebuilt into semi auto only Bren by Project Guns in Boca Raton, Florida. The Mk III receivers have lightening cuts and a simplified bipod (no height adjustments). They also have a shorter/lighter barrel. All Mk barrels and bipods, (MkI, MkII, MkIII, MkIV, etc.) interchange. Barrels have to be checked for headspace. A MkI bipod, with adjustable legs, will fit this gun. Same with buttstocks, etc. The MkIII was a wartime development of the Bren in effort to lighten the gun. MkI's weigh around 25lbs. MkIII's weight around 22lbs.

Comes with two barrels and 12 mags in metal mag carrier. Also comes with crate of South African military surplus MkVII ammo. Perfect for Bren guns. You are seeing both of the barrels. One is a shortened lightened Mk I style. Project gun made this barrel by turning down and shortening a MkI barrel, so it is a very rare item. (A true Mk III is of a MkII nature, all blued or parked finish, lighter contour, shorter barrel with MkII flash suppressor) The other is in the photo. It is a full sized, full diameter MkII barrel. Both are headspaced to this receiver.

Run the video, turn the volume up loud and watch the cats scramble! Don't mean in a fry pan either. Although some prefer their cats over easy.

Thanks guys. I love the Bren gun. They were work horses for the British during WWII and after. They eventually became the L4A3 and L4A4 in .308. They were replaced by the MAG 58 belt fed.
