Item Description: This is an old Craftsman USA lathe knife set. I never got into turning, so im going to offer them up. Its my understanding that these are good stuff. The sets i saw on ebay were going for around $65, but there is a crack in the handle of the parting tool, which could be repaired. So i think 30 is fair. The steel is in good condition.

Includes waisted diamond parting tool, large skew chisel, round nose gouge, and a large spindle gouge.

These are excellent tools provided they are HSS and not tool steel. Craftsman sold both. The fine edge of a tool-steel tool can be annealed just by the friction of turning. HSS of this vintage should be able to hold its edge up to about 1800f
