Judging by the notch in the receiver, I'm guessing 7.92. (8mm)
Also, I'm guessing the slot at the bottom of the magazine well is closed off with a piece of metal (was a Mannlicher system originally)

Looks to me like "6th Royal Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment, 7th Company, Rifle 170." However, the RR designation changed between 1877 and 1909, so it could also be "6th Royal Bavarian Infantry Regiment Recruiting Depot, 7th Company, Rifle 170." My vote is for the former. Either way, great WW1 history for a very nice rifle at a great price. GLWS!
