Someone will get a great deal on a great Smith that will be passed down to the next generation
I've got one of these, fantastic pistol if a bit blocky.
I can also say given the condition in the pics and factoring in inflation the price on this listing is pretty fair.
Also buyers should be aware holster selection for these are sparse but you can still get quality holsters both IWB, OWB and shoulder rig from companies such as Alien Gear, Galco and Safari Land.
OEM mags typical run -$30-35 and Mec-Gar aftermarket mags can be had for $20-25 and work about as well as the OEM
Other parts availability is pretty decent right now from places like Numrich and everygunpart .com
It's also worth mentioning that it's compatible with parts from the S&W 5900 and 4000 lines
The SA is crisp and clean and in DA is firm but smooth with a proper grip
