Item Description: 1967 Ishapore 2A1 "Jungle Carbine" in 7.62x51 NATO/.308
If you are unfamiliar with these, they are conversions from Ishapore 2A and 2A1 rifles by Gibbs/Navy Arms to No5 Mk1 style and were very well done. Bore is mirror bright, strong lands/grooves, the paint is in phenomenal shape, almost not a scratch anywhere on it. I have seen several of these and this one is the nicest one I have ever seen.
All numbers matching, wood is in great shape, smooth bolt, feeds perfectly. The mag is a real Ishapore 12 rd mag not a cheap aftermarket ones, and I will throw in an extra 12rd ishapore mag (goes for $50+) these days.
Does not come with the bayonet shown, although it is for sale separately for $225 OBO (it is a real ROF Poole British No.5 Bayonet, they are stupid expensive now).
Makes an awesome truck gun that you can shoot 7.62x51 NATO/.308 out of. Great if you want an enfield but dont want to buy .303
Prefer to sell for cash but might trade for anything interesting milsurp or military-esc related, mausers, enfields, finns, will trade up or down depending on value. Please no black powder, shotguns, bows, single shots, .22's, or run of the mill mosins (no 91/30's).... etc.
